Prawns With Tomato Ketchup

Serves two

Ingredients

  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 slice of ginger
  • 12 prawns de-shelled and de-veined
  • 2 tomatoes cut in quarters
  • 1 can of mushrooms
  • Gravy mixture: 2 tbsp of tomato ketchup, 1/2 tsp sugar, 1 tsp oyster sauce
  • 1/2 bowl of water
  • 2 tsp corn flour
  • optional: fried potato chunks

Method

  1. Fry the garlic until slightly brown. Fry with a slice of ginger at the same time.
  2. Add all the prawns, tomatos and mushrooms in and fry till the prawns turn slightly pink
  3. Add gravy mixture
  4. Cover the wok for about half a minute
  5. Add in 1/2 bowl of water. Fry for a while
  6. To thicken the gravy, add cornflour while stirring and frying all the while
  7. Cover the wok for another half a minute.
  8. Serve hot.
